The simple beauty of a tranquil downtown evening never ceases to amaze me. Besides the normal buses, the streets were dead this evening on my way home. These flowers were just asking to be shown off.

I originally didn't want to ever post a picture of myself on this, but there were no photos that turned out from the day today. Most of the pictures I took today didn't look nice because of how hard it was raining. So, a self-portrait is what today's picture will be. Anyway. That's me. In my room. At my desk. Exciting! I liked the lighting though.

The flowers by my house are sprouting up at unbelievable speed. Last night after doing some yard work, I noticed that the tulips are just about to bloom. Surely pictures of the tulips in all of their bloomed glory will follow.

Malone

After a long day of school and work on Thursday, I went to Malone Park in New Berlin with Corey and Phil to fly a kite. The weather was perfect for kite flying, and our owl actually didn't want to come back down to earth. There was a beautiful sunset over the trees that night as well.

I almost didn't notice these flowers today while I was walking in between classes. I happened to look over into Spaights Plaza to watch some group dancing, and these darn things got in the way. Good thing they did, too. They are beautiful.

Great Taste

While doing pilates this evening, I decided to turn on The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers to help time fly by. My cat was sleeping on my bed when I started, but I noticed after about twenty minutes, her head and ears perked up. When I moved my laptop to the floor, her head followed to watch. I knew this cat was the one for me!

I took a few potential shots today for my picture of the day, and even though this one probably isn't the best quality, it's still the one I like the most. I didn't even know the Union had a skylight. I was wandering around the Union this afternoon when I noticed it, and I decided it was the most picture worthy thing of the day.

The weather really blew outside today. The temperatures dropped twenty degrees from yesterday, it rained, and it was overall a dreary day. I had a rough time trying to concentrate and finish my paper, but my little happy corner in my room always helps. My little JJ Hardy and cute Hallmark books always do the trick to cheer me up after a long paper :)

Continued Growth

The plants on the southside of my house continue to grow in this great weather. In just a few days, they have shot up about five inches. I can't wait for these babies to bloom!

I look at this little guy every day when I go to work. He's hidden at the bottom of a staircase in Enderis Hall. Even though he's a sad little monster man, I think he's absolutely adorable.

Up, Up, and Away

Spaights Plaza was full of energy this Thursday and Friday. Thursday afternoon on my way to the bus, I stopped to watch some girls make chalk drawings on the ground. I think there actually may have been something written on the ground about not taking pictures, but oh well.

To celebrate a birthday and an engagement, the gals from work went to Bravo (in Bayshore) for dinner with Jaime. Niki got her some sweet engagement gifts, including some fun scrap booking things. Congratulations, Jaime!

Move Over, Winter

This morning while leaving for UWM, I noticed that my tulips and peonies were beginning to rise out of the ashy ground. I liked seeing this little peony pushing the dead earth off it and moving it out of the way. It was like nature saying, "Mover over winter, it's time for some springtime cheer!"

Buds in the Wind

It was a cold, rainy, dreary day in the Ill-Mil today. I found myself staring mindlessly at the tree outside my window, and it was a little encouraging to see buds on the branches again, even in such gloomy conditions.
